L5Pcc has gotten an online makeover with new and improved website and a Facebook page.

The website has a fresh new look-and-feel and is easier to navigate.  We made it easier to find the Center calendar.  And most important we updated our Partner list.  Like any website, this is a work-in-progress so any feedback would be appreciated (post in comments).

We are now on Facebook.  Please join our Facebook page by clicking on the FB icon in the right column.  Spread the word about the L5PCC FP page to all your Facebook friends!

Hollis Hildebrand-Mills At Eyedrum Gallery 10/17-12/05

Hollis Hollis Hildebrand-Mills’ studio is located in Little 5 Points Community Center. Her fifth solo exhibition is at eyedrum Gallery in Atlanta.  Hildebrand-Mills is an Atlanta-based artist working in paint and collage-based mediums.

This show takes her work further with the creation of a digital video using computer-extracted pieces of the collages on view at the exhibition.  The sixteen  minute video’s hypnotic music by Peter Gabriel provides a backdrop for the cut-outs to swirl and dance forming a unique enchanting narrative.

Look at these collages and discover parts of them in the video presentaion.  The video and collages act as a unified installation.

Hildebrand-Mills has exhibited in solo and group shows in New York, Atlanta and Texas.  One of her paintings was chosen by Anne Umland, Curator, Painting & Sculpture Department, Museum of Modern Art, NY, for inclusion in a juried exhibition at Pleiades Gallery in NYC.  Hildebrand-Mills has received many awards and accolades for her collage and collage-inspired work.

There will be a reception for the artist on Saturday, October 17th 6-8 PM.  Gallery hours:  contact eyedrum Gallery at 404.522. 0655.

Press wishing to preview this exhibit should contact Ms.  Hildebrand-Mills at 404.219.1388.  Ms.  Hildebrand-Mills wishes to thank Vince Wiggins for his technical support on the video portion of this project.
